"On the Route of Lee's Retreat"
March 17.... St. Patricks Day and it's nearly spring.
April 1....Meeting night and it's also April Fool's Day. Speaker will be Ettrick Native, Ray Mann. It's onfederate History Month. Please don't miss this meeting. There are nearly 100 Confederates buried in Ettrick Cemetery.
April 2, Friday....This is the date in 1865 when General Lee began his evacuation from Petersburg crossing Campbell's Bridge into Ettrick following the River Road.
April 24....Knox Springs Farm-- The biggest, most important day of the Society's caendar year-10th Annual Ettrick Celtic Festival. This needs to be the best, biggest, super-special ever to celebrate the 10th year. Lots of suggestions/discussion needed for this one.. before April 24. HELP NEEDED!!!
May 6....Meeting Night
May 31....Memorial Day - The Society needs to present a wreath at the Veteran's marker in front of the Ettrick Fire Station.
